Mayor Joe Chow was one of the first people in America to ride in the Zotye, the first truly all-electric SUV in America. Given Addison’s green initiatives it was the perfect place to test drive the car manufactured in China and brought to market by Green Automotive based right here in the city.

The Mayor described the ride as smooth, quiet, clean, safe and environmentally friendly adding that being born in Taiwan he couldn’t be more thrilled to take a spin in an SUV that just hit America’s shores.

Watching the excitement from the folks in Addison treated to a test drive Green Auto Chairman and CEO Steve Fly said he was thrilled to see the enthusiasm for his company’s one of a kind SUV.  Fly went on to say that “This Vehicle represents a huge shift in the Auto Industry and a spark in new auto sales by Green Auto. We are delighted to introduce this exciting vehicle and to be the first to market.”

Those who had the chance to demo the Zotye learned that the SUV is on the cutting edge with its lithium ion battery technology. The vehicle has maximum speed of up to 75 miles an hour and a range of 250 miles on a single charge. What was also impressive was the savings only $4.50 a charge compared to up to $25 dollars to fill up your tank.

Green Automotive is proud that the people of Addison were the first to see the Zotye as the SUV is ready for nation-wide distribution. The Addison based company was started to design and bring “green” vehicles to the masses in North America.
