If you've been by the Addison Athletic Club recently, you've surely noticed quite a bit of activity in what used to be little more than an open field.

The brand new Community Garden has become a reality.

Even before the Addison Arbor Foundation hosted its Sept. 18 seminar on Community Gardening, Town residents were been at work, readying for the fall planting season.

Ever wondered how much recycling the Town of Addison does?

<img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2040" title="recyclesymbol10" src="http://www.addisongreen.info/images/recyclesymbol10.jpg" alt="recyclesymbol10" width="122" height="110" />It’s a big number for a relatively small community. Since the curbside collection program began in June of 1992, Addison has diverted a whopping 6,022 tons of recyclable materials that otherwise would have gone to landfills.

Just how much is that? The number represents the combined weight of just under 2,700 Ford Tauruses.
