Looking for ways to save water while still producing a garden that will make your neighbors green with envy? Circle the date — Saturday, June 4 — and make it out to Les Lacs Linear Park (3901 Beltway Dr.) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to get expert advice on how you can do all that!
City of Dallas Water Utilities, City of Dallas Stormwater Management, City of Dallas Park & Recreation, Texas AgriLife Extension, the Dallas County Master Gardeners and the Town of Addison are teaming up with surrounding cities to demonstrate the value of Water-Wise and EarthKind gardening with the 17th annual Water-Wise Landscape Tour.
Dallas County Master Gardeners will conduct free 30-minute talks on Water-Wise gardening every hour on the hour. Dallas County Master Gardener volunteers also will assist homeowners and help answer questions about the plants and landscape on the tour.
In addition to the Les Lacs Linear Park site, similar events will take place in Dallas at the White Rock Pump Station and Lake Cliff Park. The first 100 visitors at each location will receive a free hose nozzle.
For more information, visit SaveDallasWater.com or call the Water Conservation Hotline at 214-670-3155 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
