Despite a rash of spring storms, all kinds of fruits and vegetables are sprouting at Addison’s Community Garden, located adjacent to the Addison Athletic Club.
On a recent sunny spring afternoon, gardeners came and went, working the soil, tending their crop, making sure all is on target for a tasty harvest. A few lamented the toll those storms had taken on their handiwork, but most seemed to be in good spirits and optimistic about what their efforts might still bring.
One gardener equipped his plot with a moisture tester to be certain his crop is getting plenty of water.
