The flame disk relies on biofuel to sear the kabobs.
While you’re chilling the organic wine, you’ll need to ready the grill….Unless you’re using a solar cooker, which you can buy at Gaiam (it’s called the Sun Oven and it’s $259, though we don’t know if it’s the same one Ed Begley uses)…But we digress. You’ll have to ready this grill, and now, there’s a great green option that doesn’t use icky charcoal (with its carcinogenic residues) or natural gas (cleaner but still environmentally taxing). It’s cooking with biofuel via the Flame Disk. The disk is like an oversize sterno can, but without the petroleum product inside. It burns for a half hour or so, long enough to heat the meat, or if you’re really have a seriously green affair, the grains and vegetables. Get the Flame Disk at Home Depot, Target, Walmart and Aldi stores.
