About 20 Managers and Associates from Addison-area Marriott properties gathered along the railroad tracks at the intersection of Midway Rd. and Arapaho Rd. on Earth Day to spend a few hours cleaning up other people’s messes.

The group, led by Area General Manager Mark Brooks, celebrated the occasion by making their neighborhood a cleaner and more pleasant place. Fanning out from a central location, two teams scoured the areas adjacent to the tracks, picking up paper, plastics and whatever other sort of debris careless passers-by had left behind.

Employees came from all five of the Marriott properties located in the Town of Addison: The Marriott Quorum by the Galleria; Residence Inn Dallas Addison/Quorum Drive; Courtyard Dallas Addison/Quorum Drive; Courtyard Dallas Addison/Midway and SpringHill Suites Dallas Addison/Quorum Drive.

The Addison Parks Department provided the trash bags used in the pickup. Volunteers bagged the trash, tied up the bags and left them for the Parks Department to pick up and discard.
