If you live in Addison — or even if you’re just passing through — the Town’s trail system can offer a quick getaway, even in the midst of the hustle and bustle of a vibrant community.

White Rock Creek Trail is a picturesque ¾ mile nature preserve that follows the west bank of White Rock Creek. The path provides plenty of overlooks and places where you can stop, take a picture, have a private conversation, or ease on to a park bench and soak in the sights and sounds of a sunny North Texas day.

    How to get there:

Park at the Addison Finance Building at 5350 Belt Line Road. Enter the trail at the southeast corner of Belt Line Road at Winnwood Road.

From there, enjoy. And, if your dog is along for this bit of communing with nature, be sure to take advantage of the pet waste dispensers the Town provides!

Meanwhile, to whet your appetite, spend a quiet moment at White Rock Creek Trail:
